Sandha is of Burmese and Russian descent. She grew up in the seaside town of Portsmouth NH and performed modern dance and musical theater throughout her youth. Sandha studied Theater Arts and English at Brandeis University. In 2009, she went on to complete a master's degree in Classical Acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama, London.

In 2010 Sandha starred in the indie hit Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench. In the role of Elena, the New York Times credited her with provoking "the movie's most magical scene."

Sandha lives in Los Angeles.
